A few days before I started my course I spoke to Mike about the logistics of it. "You know," I said "you'll have to cook dinner each evening, as I'll be really late and won't have time." The look of shock spread across his face. "What?" I could tell that this was a step too far. So we compromised. He would cook one night and I would prepare the next one the evening before. The first night I came home to a delicious Spaghetti Bolognese and then prepared a Sausage and Tomato Casserole with shredded greens from an old magazine cut out from the Good Food Magazine. "Tolerable" was the verdict from the men of my life as I heated it up after day two of my course .... some people are never happy!!
Anyway I digress .... but this is a foodie blog after all!
When I woke up this morning I was feeling stiff and my armpits were sore from the hammock as we had spent the previous day working on the sun salutations. Today we were working on the leg sequences and involving stretches and balances. I do wish I was more elegant during transitions but somehow it lightens the mood as I lose control and start to teeter.
By the end of the day it is fair to say I was feeling really stretched out but achey and as I sit here I can feel my limbs starting to stiffen up ... goodness knows what I shall feel like tomorrow!
Homework beckons as I have to start preparing my lesson plans for the end of course assessments on Sunday so today I must keep this brief.
I am still having great fun and enjoying the hard work and looking forward to our work on floor exercises tomorrow, body permitting ... so the only decision is what am I going to do for dinner? Mike to cook or me? I think we'll go out .... Pizza anyone?
