Apparently everyone who comes to India gets it and yesterday it was my turn. My tummy started to churn a little bit and I had to run to the loo once in the afternoon but it seemed to settle down a little, but by yesterday evening I was wearing out the loo seat. To be honest I feel OK in myself but needed the loo often and with little warning. So it was a disturbed night's sleep last night and a difficult asana practise this morning but it seems to have settled now. This afternoon will be the test as to whether lunch stays intact but confidence is high.
However it has had an impact on my positive attitude and I feel a little listless and tired. Everything seems difficult today and this feeling has an affect on the spirits. Hopefully the afternoon break will give me time to pull myself together before the afternoon sessions. Fortunately it is not having the usual negative effect on my sugar levels so that's a relief.
Boy is also feeling the pace a little, and is currently enjoying himself in the pool during our afternoon break. We get three lovely hours but it is so hot here now that there is an unwillingness to venture too far.
I am still so pleased to be here and am learning so much from the talented teachers but today I do not feel I am doing them justice but in the words of that famous yogi Scarlet O'Hara "Tomorrow is another day"
Actually I made that up .... she wasn't a yogi at all, but the quote is still good.
