Madhur Jaffrey is one of my favourite Indian Cooks and her book from the BBC series 'Indian Cookery' is one of my favourites. However, I have not used this book at all and much of this is to do with the format of it as it breaks the chapters into regions which means I have to flick through all of the book to find a recipe or rely on the index at the rear. There are lots of beautiful pictures of India giving you a flavour of the country and its culture, but less of the finished recipes which is a bit of a downside for me. I am sure that if I am patient I will find many recipes worth trying and so watch out for some efforts from this book before too long.
