This is another book from the Australian Women's Weekly series having purchased it as a result of the success of the Italian book, and unlike the New French Food book it is not half bad! It is of a similar vein to the Italian book of the series and I have cooked a number of dishes from it including the Chicken Marengo on Page 36, the Coq Au Vin on Page 38 and the Beouf Bourguignonne on Page 41 which is my default recipe when cooking this classical French dish. My only criticism is that nearly half of the book is taken over with desserts and cakes and I do not cook many of these for everyday meals, but that aside it is a cheap book which provides some great recipes. If you can find it on the shelf it's a good buy.
