This was one of the first books I bought in the 1980's and is virtually falling apart as I have used it so much. As you know I am a sucker for pictures and each recipe is accompanied by a glossy picture. The food is easy to prepare and even though in the 1980's some of the ingredients were harder to come by that is no longer the case these days.
I have cooked most of the pasta sauces with both the lasagne and cannelloni both still a firm family favourites. Their pizza dough is still the one I return too after trying other recipes which just don't seem to work quite as well for me, and I even tried the St Joseph's Day Pastries (profiteroles) on page 112.
This is another book that I would recommend should grace every kitchen. Cheap, cheerful but yummy!
