Italian Regional Cooking by Simonetta Lupi Vada

I have had this book so long that I can't recall when or where I bought it and I have used it quite a lot, with several pages splattered with stains from meals long since cooked and eaten. The croquettes with mozzarella and tomato on page 190 is one, as is the lamb and artichoke casserole on page 194, even though I have now adjusted the recipe a little to suit my style of cooking! The country style and milanese risottos on page 120 have also be regular features for evening dinner. It is a beautiful book, well used and a bit tatty now but the pictures are lovely and there is a lot of basic information to help the beginner. One of my favourite Italian cookbooks.
