Jamie Oliver, what can I say, the man who brought South London sayings into celebratory cooking. What a geezer. For some strange reason my son has taken quite a dislike to him and I don't know why, and what's more neither does he. It does make it a bit of a challenge to get Andrew to try any of his recipes but I have managed to sneak in a couple from this book. The Lamb Curry on Page 190 was popular with Andrew as he loves curries but my husband does not, which makes getting this dish to the table a bit of a challenge and I have also tried the Mustard and Herb Vinegar Dressing on Page 81 to dress salads during our brief Northern summers. However that is the extent of my forays between the pages. The pictures are great and inspirational. There is much more I would like to try and as Andrew is now at University I no longer have to over-come the consumer hostility from the boy. Sorry Jamie, will take this opportunity to give it another go.
