Nigella Express by Nigella Lawson

Nigella Express by Nigella Lawson

As you can probably tell I love Nigella Lawson having every one of her cookbooks on my shelf. I was initially immune to her charms and in fact put off by the title of her first book 'How to be a domestic goddess' not realising that the title was in fact rather 'tongue in cheek' and I don't think I was alone in that misconception. I discovered her one night when unable to sleep in the wee small hours. I was flicking through the channels and found a re-run of her series 'Nigella Bites'. I was hooked - I love the fact that she always chooses the easy option, don't peel the potatoes or wash the lettuce if you can possibly get away with it. Her love of food and happiness in the kitchen resonated with me. I want to be her bestest buddy but having seen what she cooks her chums for lunch I realise that my waistline would not survive closer acquaintance - so I am happy admiring her at a distance.
