I am a sucker for the television chef and my friend Val had brought my attention to the 'Fabulous Baker Brothers' during their first series. They were fun and I liked their energy with one a baker and the other a butcher. As usual, having watched the series I went out and bought the book, these marketing guys have me sussed! I have had an attempt at the pizza dough on Page 121 but for me the recipe in the Australian Woman's Weekly Italian cookbook is better as well as the The Sherston Loaf on Page 56 which was acceptable but has never made it onto the list of bread recipes I use when making my weekly loaf. I must try their chip (or french fries) recipe on Page 68 as part of my research into the perfect chip. More work from me is needed in trialling this book but at least I have taken it into the kitchen with me on a couple of occasions.
