The Food of France by Maria Villegas and Sarah Randell

The Food of France by Maria Villegas and Sarah Randell

This book caught my eye in the book store and is full of the usual glossy photos of the food and the regions of France. It is also really tactile with a feeling of quality about it, but perhaps more importantly the recipes are quite good too and I have cooked a couple from the book including Coq Au Vin on Page 128 and the Croque Monsieur on Page 63. I think that part of the problem is that I have a number of really good French cook books and turn to these first when the craving for French food strikes. Next time it does I'll try this one instead. Perhaps there is a thing about having too many cookbooks on the shelf!
